Occasionally a new illustrator comes along that makes you sit up and take notice. Kevin Waldron is one of those. He is a fresh new picture book illustrator, born in Ireland but currently living in New York. His book Mr Peek & the Misunderstanding at the Zoo, won the Opera Prima Award at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2009.His version of The Owl and the Pussy-cat, a Simon & Schuster publication, is due for release this year.
